As the Starbucks Rwanda team finishes off their short race break after a very demanding last few weeks of season 55, riders are preparing for a very exciting set of races to kick off the start of the new season.
The team will be competing in three races this week, all of which are taking place in continental Africa.
Day 1 will be taking place at the scenic and hilly island nation of Comoros. Day 2 will be a challenging pave race in Somolia. And finally, the race week will be capped off day 5 with road race between the small rural parish of Mirara and the Eritrean capital, Asmara.
Combined, these races will sum to 482km.
With no team captain established at the start of Season 56, these races offer a chance to experiment with various tactics and to give all riders an opportunity to race aggressively.
